Bank of Baroda Q4 net up 43 % at Rs 1,294 cr

Public sector Bank of Baroda on Thursday recorded 43 per cent rise in net profit at1,294.3 crores for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011.

The bank had a net profit of906.2 crores in the same quarter in the previous fiscal, BoB informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income rose to7,168.6 crores for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, from5120.7 crores in the same period last fiscal.

Interest Income improved to6334.10 crores against4353.8 crores in the same quarter a year ago.

The board proposed a dividend of16.50 per equity share on face value of10 per share for the financial year 2010-2011.

For the year ended March 31, 2010, the bank posted a net profit of4241.6 crores against3058.3 crores in the previous fiscal, registering an increase of 38.6 per cent.

Total income increased to24,695.10 crores during the year, compared to19423.2 crore in the previous fiscal.
