New Delhi: Four time champions Australia's records in the World Cups are enviable and it shows why they have been the team to beat in the mega event since its inauguration in 1975.
Australia is also the team that has played 69 matches, the most number of matches played by any team in World Cup. They have won 51 and lost 17 and have a winning percentage of 74.63.
New Zealand are second in terms of matches played. The Kiwis have featured in 62 World Cup matches since 1975 and have won 35, lost 26 and there was no result in one match.
South Africa, who played their maiden World Cup in 1992 Down Under, have a winning percentage of 65. Perennial favourites South Africa, who are yet to win a World Cup, have played 40 matches, won 25 and lost 13.
