The three domestic helps, who were earlier chargesheeted in the murder of Aarushi Talwar and her servant but later found innocent, are planning to sue the CBI for implicating them in the case and claim compensation.
On another front, the Talwar family plans to file a “protest petition” against the CBI report seeking to close the double murder case in a local court when the closure report is opened on Monday by the judge.
“I think they will file a protest petition, that’s what I would advise them when the CBI judge opens the sealed closure report,” Pinaki Misra, counsel for the Talwar family, said.
The counsel of the three helps — Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal — applied for an official copy of the closure report of the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case.

Ulfa chief released from prison

Jan. 1: Arbinda Rajkhowa, chairman of the outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom and one of India’s most wanted fugitives, was released from Guwahati central jail on Saturday. He was greeted by hundreds of slogan-shouting supporters carrying flags of the banned organisation outside the jail. The supporters of the Ulfa leader were heard raising slogans like “Ulfa Zindabad” and “Long Live Ulfa” even in the presence of senior police officials.
