John Abraham must be thanking his lucky stars — and Ajay Devgn, of course. If Ajay hadn’t decided to walk out of Rajkumar Santoshi’s Power, John would not have been considered for a role co-starring stalwarts such as Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor. Ajay apparently didn’t want to do any more multistarrers and had walked out of
Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan earlier. He also left Santoshi in the lurch at the last minute when he walked out of Power. Thankfully for John, Santoshi roped in the hunky actor in Ajay’s place.
Our source said, “Ajay was okay with the idea of doing the film and even attended the muhurat of the film. However, after the super success of Golmaal 3, he doesn’t want to act in any more multistarrers. Although Santoshi, one of his closest friends, tried to convince him to stay, Ajay didn’t agree. Now Santoshi has finalised John for the role.” Anil Kapoor will go bald for his role in the film, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Amisha Patel plays the female lead.
