New Delhi: The Supreme Court today granted bail to jailed former Haryana DGP S P S Rathore in the Ruchika molestation case.
Granting the bail, a bench of Justices P Sathasivam and B S Chauhan, however, said 68-year-old Rathore shall not leave the country without prior permission of the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Chandigarh.
The apex court granted bail after taking into consideration of closure reports by the CBI in two of the three fresh cases filed by the family of Ruchika Girhotra against Rathore and also because the former top cop has already completed six months of his 18-month sentence.
