Three persons have been arrested by the south Delhi police for allegedly killing a man by stabbing him 17 times on November 6. The accused and the deceased had fought with each other over a defective mobile phone.
According to the police, the body of one Javed, a resident of JJ Colony in the Tigri area of Neb Sarai, was found in an unoccupied room of dispensary building on November 6. A post-mortem revealed that the deceased had consumed alcohol and had been stabbed 17 times.
Following investigations, the police arrested three persons — Manoj, Sumit and Kishan —- in this connection. Javed was last seen with the three accused. During interrogation, the accused told the police that Kishan had bought a mobile phone worth `5,000 from Javed about 45 days ago. However, the mobile phone had turned out to be defective following which Kishan returned it to Javed and began asking for returning his money. But Javed not only refused to return the money but also got Kishan beaten up. This infuriated Kishan, who teamed up with the three accused and hatched a conspiracy to take revenge from Javed.
On the fateful night, the accused asked Javed to join them for a session of consuming alcohol to celebrate Diwali. When Javed fell unconscious after consuming the alcohol, they took him to the unoccupied room in the building and stabbed him 17 times. Further investigations in the case are on.
