Several other top leaders of the Right-wing outfits are now under the scanner of the anti-terrorist squad of the Rajasthan, which has filed a chargesheet in the Ajmer blast case naming a top functionary of a Right-wing outfit. The ATS of the three states — Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Hyderabad — and the CBI are jointly probing Ajmer, Mecca Masjid and Malegaon blasts.
According to sources, the probe agencies have now started collecting fresh evidences and if required a supplementary chargesheet will also be filed in connection with probe into Ajmer blast. The Rajasthan ATS has already named a top functionary of a Right-wing outfit in its chragesheet.
Sources further said, “The probe agencies are also planning to send a team of its officials to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat in connection with probe into Ajmer, Mecca Masjid and Malegaon blasts. Involvement of some other functionaries of right wing outfits can not be ruled out,” sources said.
Besides the agencies have also intensified the manhunt to arrest Swami Aseemanand, the suspected brain behind these blasts. Inputs suggest that recently Aseemanand had taken shelter in remote areas of Karnataka. There are also reports that Swami reportedly met Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a prime suspect in the Malegaon blast case, in a hospital in Nashik when she was admitted a few months ago, sources added.
Sources revealed that Sadhvi was admitted to a hospital in Nashik when her condition suddenly started deteriorating in the jail a few months ago. Available inputs indicate that Swami met her in the hospital.
“Asimanand later went to Dang district in Gujarat through Nandurbar and Surat. Probing agencies are also in touch with Gujarat police in this connection,” sources added.
Agencies are in touch with Karnataka police also. Swami ran an ashram in the Dang tribal region of Gujarat and has emerged as the prime suspect in the 2007 Ajmer blast too. Sources revealed that Asimanand, along with Sunil Joshi, who was murdered after Ajmer blast, masterminded both the Malegaon and Ajmer blasts.
