Vogue Japan’s editor Anna Dello Russo has a one bedroom apartment in Milan which she uses as her closet. In
November’s issue of W magazine, Anna revealed that she owns 4,000 pairs of shoes and 250 tuxedo suits among other things.
Therefore, even a mere room is not enough to store all her clothes and accessories. How does she manage to find what she wants in an apartment full of clothes? Actually, it’s very easy as Anna explains that all her latest buys get pride of place right at the front in her main walk in closet, which is next to the bedroom. Next comes the bloodbath, (this is how she refers to her collection of exotic furs which are her weakness).
The furs are labeled and stored in cloth bags. But after a season, the not so happening coats are demoted to the last row in the wardrobe.
Every season Anna indulges in a spring cleaning session where everything is cleared to make way for new stuff. Only her furs are exempt since they don’t really date. Now, not all booted items are given away as they might just come back in vogue. So, they are then banished to her massive basement till they regain their cool factor.
