Automakers in India are all set to cash in on the festive season with a majority of them launching one model or the other. While Skoda brought out its entry level Fabia to the market at an attractive price of `4.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) for the base model, and Tata Motors launching its cross-over car, Aria in three trim levels, it was Hyundai’s new luxury SUV the Santa Fe, that stole all the limelight.
Priced between `20.95-22.95 lakhs, the company started booking orders on Monday and plans to sell around 100-150 units of the Santa Fe in 2010. The Santa Fe will be available with a 2.2 litre engine and six speed manual transmission, with an option of 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive. This diesel vehicle has mileage of 14.66 km per litre.
The Aria on the other hand has been priced at `13.18 lakhs for the base model Aria Pleasure, `14.82 lakhs for Prestige, and `15.85 lakhs for the top-end Aria Pride.
