Quickie, no it is not the kind you are guessing, but the coffee kind. Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas have started a trend of sorts. Managing crazy schedules can be quite a task, and sometimes there is no time for that stiff vodka, so quickie coffee dates are gaining popularity.
Many youngsters who are either broke or trying to juggle pushy parents, workload and Internet browsing, find this the perfect way to make their lovers happy.
Richa, an engineering student, who is dating a media professional, tells us how they steal time out during the weekend, and chat over a quick cup of their favourite cappuccino.
“He doesn’t really like wasting time watching movies, and prefers to meet me for a cup of coffee. Since both of us are off only on Sunday, we prefer to spend time in a cozy coffee shop instead of a loud restaurant or watching a movie,” she says.
For Himanshu Arya, a marketing student, coffee shops are the best when you are low on finances. “My girlfriend and I often go to CCD when there’s no money, and of course, when we are running short of time. With coffee shops even at Metro stations, it’s the best place to grab a quick bite and spend quality time together with no distractions. She lives quite far from my place, so we usually catch up for a coffee midway and spend time together,” he shares.
Interestingly, with so many coffee shops, beans guarantee a new way to bond these days. You can’t party every weekend and spend a bomb just on drinks, so it is easier to go to a coffee shop. You can just pullover and relax for a few minutes, and even if you meet everyday, it’s not too heavy on your pocket.
