Have you ever heard songs sung in Hindi and preceded by a narrative description in English to set the mood for listeners? Well, local act J3 are all set to release an audio novel, Inteezar, the first of its kind to be launched soon.
The introduction to the album, starts with a poem which translated in English means — ‘Love is a phase of life. Inteezar or the wait is a phase of love.’
“The audio novel is the story of an individual’s journey through love, passion and fame,” says Jawahar Raj, member of J3 and the composer, lyricist, guitarist and music director.
The music album is very similar to a work of literature. The only difference being that music is used to amplify the feelings resonated from the words. The audio novel consists of six songs and seven chapters. It starts with the meeting of lovers, followed by a section dedicated to the joy of being in love. “Love is a unique and comforting feeling which can be expressed profoundly in music and literature,” explains Jawahar adding, “J3 as a band that doesn’t follow any particular genre but a single theme — love.”
This third chapter recalls the breakup sequence followed by a shift in the protagonist’s life into patriotic activities. The final chapter is called Inteezar. Both, Jawahar and vocalist Jayesh derive their inspiration from Tamil maestro Ilayaraja. Their album consists of varied music sequences.
