New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today took exception to Commonwealth Games CEO Mike Hooper's reported comments on the capital's population, saying it was 'very unkind and undiplomatic'.
"It is really a very unkind and undiplomatic remark that has been made," Dikshit told reporters here.
She was responding to a question on Hooper's reported remark during a closed-door meeting on the Commonwealth Games when he lost his cool as authorities rejected a proposal for closing the Games lanes and talked about the city's 'population hazard'.
Asked about the preparations at the Games Village, she said, "We inherited it in a very difficult situation. We are working very hard."
She said the work at the Games Village will be over very soon.
