A large number of political leaders, diplomats and others attended a wedding reception hosted by Lok Sabha MP, Mr Shashi Tharoor and his new wife, Ms Sunanda Pushkar, here on Saturday.
Among those who attended the reception at the India Habitat Centre were Union ministers, BJP leaders, Mr L.K. Advani and Mr Arun Jaitley and envoys from several countries including China and Pakistan.
A former Union Minister, Mr Tharoor, 54, had tied the knot with Pushkar, a Dubai-based entrepreneur in a typical Malayali wedding ceremony in his ancestral home at Elavanchery village near Palakkad in Kerala on August 22.
