In a bid to regain trust of the grassroots level party workers, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday interacted directly with party workers in Nagpur. Mr Gandhi went on to assure them that they were as important for the party as other big leaders.
He also reprimanded ministers like environment minister Sanjay Deotale for ignoring complaints of party workers.
As part of party’s elections preparedness for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Gandhi scion arrived at Nagpur on Tuesday morning. In his two-day Maharashtra tour, he will now visit Pune on Wednesday.
