In a shocking incident, a 53-year-old babysitter has been booked for rape of a 5-year-old at his residence in the posh Versova area of Andheri.
The accused was arrested on Sunday after the matter came to light and the accused will be produced before a magistrate’s court on Monday.
According to the police, the girl is unable to narrate the exact sequence of events. However, they have been able to ascertain that the crime took place around 15 days ago.
The girl comes from a middle-class family and both her parents are working and hence, they used to send her to the residence of the accused for babysitting.
