[1]Hyderabad: Relatives of Mohd Pehelwan, who are at logger heads with Owaisis, have reportedly extended an olive branch, on be-half of Mohd Pehelwan, here on Thursday.
Sources said some relatives of Mohammed bin Omar Yafai, alias Mohd Pehelwan from Barkas, met MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi at MIM headquarters at Darussalam and reportedly sought truce between the two families.
Owaisi brothers — Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi — are at loggerheads with Yafai since the murderous attack on Akbaruddin Owaisi in 2011.
While one member of the Pehelwan family died, Akbaruddin Owaisi suffered multiple stab wounds.
It is learnt members of the Wahlan and Jabri tribes met the MIM president and held talks for about an hour. Akbaruddin Owaisi joined them later.
Sources said MIM leaders turned down the reconciliation offer since the matter is pending in the court.
