Two men allegedly kidnapped a nine-year-old Class 3 student and her younger sister with an intention to rape her and slashed her private parts with a blade when they failed in their attempt. The incident has been reported from New Usmanpur area of northeast Delhi.
The victim has been admitted to a government hospital where her condition is stated to be critical.
A senior police official said that both the accused have been identified and raids were being conducted to arrest them. The official said the accused persons are said to be friends of the victim’s mother.
“The victim lives with her parents and four siblings. Her mother was having an affair with one Sanjay, a resident of Nabi Karim. On August 22, the victim’s mother had eloped with her lover. On Monday afternoon, the victim and her seven-year-old sister were standing outside their school. Meanwhile, Sanjay reached there on a motorcycle with his friend. The accused told them that their mother was calling them. The accused then took the victim near Yamuna Khadar on their motorcycle,” said the police official.
The official said Sanjay tried to rape the nine-year-old victim while his accomplice stood far away from the victim’s younger sister.
According to official, the accused failed to rape the victim.
“Sanjay then took out a blade and slit the private parts of the victim many times. When the victim shouted in pain, both the accused fled from the scene,” said the police official.
The younger sister of the victim called a passerby who informed the police about the incident and a team reached the spot. The victim was taken to the hospital. The police has lodged an FIR in this connection.
