‘Successful actors smart at business’

Actors establishing their own production houses is quite the norm in B’town today, and apart from Salman and Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn too is one top-notch star who has successfully set up his own banner.
During a recent conversation, we quizzed Ajay whether getting into production and other aspects of filmmaking wasn’t stressful? “I look at it as growth,” he said. “Having your own production house gives you the liberty to make the kind of films that you believe in. I might not be convinced about a certain film, but if I know that it’ll get my company profits, I’ll take the risk. Similarly, I can also experiment with different genres, without waiting for a producer to fund those films.”
Ajay also admitted that having a Plan B was a practical move for most actors. “I feel that every successful actor, deep down, is a smart businessman. Making sensible investments is as important as making films,” he added.
