Kangna sheds four kilos to fit the role

Designer Gavin Miguel, who tailored Kangna Ranaut’s latex body suit for Krrish 3, is impressed by the actress’ dedication towards the role. The all-rubber suit Gavin tells us took 45 days to prepare and was customised to fit the actress like second skin. In fact, she had to shed four kilos and take several body oiling sessions to fit into it.
All praise for Kangna, Gavin says, “It is very difficult to work with latex especially in a film since it involves long hours and a lot of body movement. It can be overwhelming and stressful, but Kangy was very patient. She would reach the sets early to slip into the costume and that would easily take two hours. The bad weather didn’t help either.”
Apart from the costume, a lot of effort was put into the rest of the look as well — right from the hair to the shoes. “Sporting this look has been extremely challenging for me because it requires being stiff and flexible at the same. I’ve put in a lot of hard work into this, but it’s worth it because the feedback so far has been overwhelming,” says Kangna.
