A medical lecturer from Tilak Ayurvedic College, who has been arrested for allegedly demanding dowry from his second wife and is currently in judicial custody, continues to draw his salary from the college.
Even though lecturer Sachin Deshpande has been thrice remanded to police custody, and is now lodged in Nashik Central Prison, the college has not suspended him. Sachin’s second wife, Dr Mamta Deshpande claims that she tried to register an FIR in Guhagar in the Ratnagiri district, but the police told her that it was a family matter and asked her to settle the issue amicably.
