Juhi takes the plunge from bubbly to badmaash

Juhi Chawla, who is best known as the original bubbly actress in Bollywood, is trying hard to break that image. Rumour has it that the actress is playing a negative character in Anubhav Sinha’s Gulab Gang. While her counterpart Kajol broke the mould with her negative turn in Gupt, Juhi is gearing up for a big change in her career.
“Juhi is known to have a great comic timing. So to pull off an intense role, like the one in Gulab Gang, is definitely another feather in her cap,” says a source close to Juhi. Producer Anubhav cannot stop praising his leading ladies. “I couldn’t have asked for a better cast. To get Juhi and Madhuri for one film is a dream come true. But at this stage I can’t reveal too much about their roles,” he says. There are loud whispers in the industry that initially Juhi was very reluctant to accept the offer, but it was Shah Rukh Khan who managed to convince her to take the plunge.
