A 42-year-old MCD employee was found murdered in Kamla Market area of Central Delhi on Saturday morning. A senior police official said personal enmity could be the reason behind the incident while they were probing robbery angle as well.
The official said the deceased was identified as Chanderbhan, a resident of Sita Ram Bazar. The police said the victim’s father, who worked in the MCD, died a year ago after which Chanderbhan got job in the MCD on compassionate grounds in April. Chander Bhan used to go for evening walk after dinner to Shastri Park near Ramlila Maidan.
“He was missing since Friday night. On Saturday morning, the police got a call that a man was lying murdered in the area. He was identified as Chanderbhan. His body bore multiple injuries,” said the police official adding that an FIR of murder has been lodged in this connection.
