The Delhi police is mulling to get a red corner notice issued against Chanshivroop, the witness in the suicide case of a former airhostess in which former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda has been arrested and is facing prosecution.
The police can knock the doors of the court in this regard by this week, said a senior official.
The police also has to hand over some important files related to the case to CBI to get a red corner notice issued against him. The senior police official have also briefed the ministry of external affairs in this regard.
In the recent past a court issued a non-bailable warrant against Chanshivroop after declaring him a proclaimed offender.
A look out notice has also been issued against him. The police officials say that they do not yet know in which country is Chanshivroop hiding.
Chanshivroop used to work as an assistant manager in MDLR Airline headed by Kanda. He was reporting to Aruna Chadha, the co-accused in the case. The police said Chanshivroop helped Kanda and Chadha in harassing the airhostess.
“He was helping the police in the case but turned hostile in court after he was reportedly threatened by Kanda’s men. He fled to Abu Dhabi then Dubai and we have inputs that he is in New York now,” said the police.
