In August, when Disney Infinity hits stores, much to the delight of children and fans across the globe. The ambitious video game project features most of Disney’s loved characters, worlds and environments from their multi-billion universe of movies and animations.
As reported by The Guardian, players will be able to buy action figures that interact with the onscreen world when placed on a special ‘Infinity base’ peripheral. Favourite characters, like Sulley, from Monsters’ University, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Woody from Toy Story and even Mr. Incredible can be accessed in their specific worlds — and there’s also a toy box mode where players can mix and match characters to create their own adventures.
Infinity is quite the dream territory for Disney-mad kids, though their parents had better brace themselves: action figures require payments, and although the game functions without extra purchases, each new figure opens up various, newer sections of the adventure. Each of the sets features an original storyline. For instance, The Incredibles is all about saving the world from Syndrome and his new evil plan, while Monsters’ University pits our beloved scary lot against a rival University called ‘Fear Tech’!
