Dilshan out of tri-series in Caribbean

Cardiff: Sri Lanka's hard-hitting opener Tillakaratne Dilshan, who pulled off a calf muscle in the ICC Champions Trophy semifinal against India, was today ruled out of the upcoming tri-series in the West Indies, starting June 28.While batting against India in the second semifinal yesterday, Dilshan limped off the field after suffering a muscle tear trying to flick the ball on to the leg side.According to the Sri Lankan team spokesperson, scans revealed Dilshan had suffered a second degree tear and has been advised four to six weeks of recovery time.Dilshan's replacement is likely to be announced today and a player from the Sri Lanka A team, which is currently touring the Caribbean, could be named.India is the other participating team in the tri-series besides host West Indies.
