Now the actor is scheduled to fly to Birmingham in the UK for the promotions of his film, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Again. And since the ICC Champions Trophy matches are also being played there, we can imagine Akki was highly pleased with the choice of country. Our sources tell us that Akki — currently holidaying in New York with wife Twinkle Khanna, and kids Aarav and Nitara — will cut his trip short to head to the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham and watch the India-Pakistan cricket match there. He will also speak to fans and cricket gurus about his role in OUATIM2.
Incidentally, Akki plays a cricket-loving gangster in the film. Tanuj Garg, the CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures confirmed that Akshay would attend the India-Pakistan match at Edgbaston. “But he won’t don the look he has in the film for the appearance. Akshay has had a long tryst with cricket, so the ongoing tournament is the ideal platform for him to promote the film,” Tanuj said.
