Inebriated man, 30, rapes own mother

In a shocking, despicable incident of crass depravity, a 30-year-old man allegedly raped his 70-year-old mother in Madhu Vihar area of East Delhi.
A senior police official said that the accused, identified as Pawan, has been arrested and an FIR of rape has been lodged against him.
“The incident took place on June 5. The accused was in an inebriated condition when he raped his mother. The victim was also thrashed by the accused son, when she tried to resist his attempt,” said the police official.
The official said the police was reported about the incident and a case was lodged. Accused Pawan has been sent into judicial custody.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a 52-year-old man allegedly tried to rape a 25-year-old woman in Pandav Nagar area of East Delhi on the pretext of getting her a job.
A senior police official said that the accused, identified as Vijay, was arrested following the complaint made by the victim.
“The victim came in contact with the accused in recent past. She was unemployed and the accused promised to help her in getting a job. He called the victim to his home to discuss about the job. The victim alleged that when she reached his home the accused molested her, when she objected to his behaviour and resisted his attempts he tried to rape her. The victim somehow escaped from his clutches and approached the police after which a case was registered in this respect,” said the police official.
