There’s always something warm and cuddly about a soft teddy bear and every little girl would have one favourite teddy she would hug every night. It looks like it’s not just humans who love the soft toy. On May 24, a one-week-old pony was rescued from the Dartmoor National Park. Named Breeze, the little foal was abandoned by his mother and was just a few hours old when he was discovered.
His carers believed that the Dartmoor Hill pony needed a mother-like figure and decided to give him one in the form of a 4 feet tall cuddly toy bear. According to The Daily Mail, Sanctuary executive director Syra Bowden was quoted as saying, “Sadly, little Breeze hasn’t got his mum around to keep him company. Although his carers here at the sanctuary work around the clock to look after him, it’s not quite the same. As a result, we always give our orphaned foals a giant cuddly toy as a companion. They’re just like human babies in the way it provides them with comfort.”
The little pony, who was discovered dehydrated at the National Park, soon found solace in the company of his caregivers and teddy mom. Breeze is spotted from time to time, cuddling with his soft care bear.
