Vidyut wants to be a hero like Rajinikanth

That Vidyut Jamwal is an action junkie is no secret. The actor who made his debut with Force and later created quite a ripple with Commando, not only performed his own stunts, but also choreographed them.

Trained in martial arts and specialising in Kallaripayattu, Vidyut draws inspiration from superstar Rajinikanth. At a recent event the actor said that he considers the South actor his idol and wants to carve a niche as an action hero. “Most Bollywood action heroes like Akshay Kumar and Sunny Deol have shifted their focus to comedy. So the slot for a new action hero is now open and that might work in Vidyut’s favour,” says an industry insider. We sure hope it does.
