Bootylicious. And yes, you guessed it right; it comes from none other than pop diva Beyonce Knowles herself, and has found its place in the Oxford English Dictionary.

In 2001, the all-girl band Destiny’s Child released their hit single Bootylicious which prompted teenagers and young women all over the world to sing along with the lead singer, “My body’s too bootylicious for you baby!” As revealed by lexicographer John Simpson, the past forty years or so have heralded a remarkable change in the English language. Once common slang words such as tanner (sixpence) and stingo (strong beer) have been replaced by contemporary inventions such as like blagging and bling.
Words borrowed from Caribbean patois like Babylon, skanking, and yardie have also entered everyday speech. New coinages and hybrid words such as WAG have found popularity, reported The Daily Mail.
