[1]John Abraham’s turn as Manya Surve is being called his career’s best yet. Small wonder then that the actor wanted to express his gratitude in a fitting way to his director Sanjay Gupta. Early on Tuesday morning, our khabrus tell us, John landed up at Sanjay’s home.
But the unannounced visit wasn’t the only surprise in store for Sanjay. John soon unveiled the actual reason for his visit: A brand new set of hot wheels for his friend and director. The Yamaha bike that costs a whopping `25 lakh was just a small token of appreciation from John.
Our sources also told us that John had placed the order for the bike a month ago — much before Shootout At Wadala’s release, and subsequent success. “The bike was delivered to John on Monday,” an aide confirmed. Clearly, the fate of the film was to be no consideration in John’s giving this gift. “John and Sanjay worked together in Zinda and have been friends since then,” our source reminded us.
“SAW has really been a milestone in John’s career and he is grateful,” our source added.
