Taurani ‘races’ to sign Saif for films

Tips’ honcho Ramesh Taurani has proved his loyalty to Saif Ali Khan yet again.
The filmmaker, who has worked with Saif in Race and Race 2, considers the actor his lucky mascot. Probably that’s the reason why Taurani has already started work on the third installment of Race.

According to industry sources, the story will revolve around its key protagonist Saif, and Anil Kapoor in the supporting role. Though John Abraham — who played a big role in Race 2 — is yet to hear from the makers of the film, word is that he too could find a permanent place in the Race
franchise.
“Nothing is decided as yet. Saif and Anil are the only two confirmed actors in the third series of Race. The script will decide rest of the star cast. It’s too early to divulge details,” says one source.
Apart from Race, Saif has been signed up for yet another film made by Tips.
“If things go as planned, Mohit Suri will be directing the film. Mohit and his team of writers are working on the action thriller. But the project will take off only after he is done with Ashiqui 2, which is a prior commitment,” says our source.
Tips is yet to take a call on whether they should start work on Race 3 or Mohit Suri’s film. Saif has already blocked his dates in bulk for Tips. Now which project takes off first is a call that’ll be taken by the producers.
