Visakhapatnam: Bread winner of a family died and four others were hospitalised due to allegedly food poisoning near Jalaripeta area under One Town police station limits in the city.
Though the incident took place on Sunday night, it came to light on Monday after neighbours found that they were unconscious. Migrant worker P. Appa Rao, 35, a mason, his wife, two children and his father-in-law came to Vizag city from Srikakulam district few months ago. They suffered severe food poisoning after consuming fish and chicken dishes cooked at home. Appa Rao, succumbed at 4 am on Monday while his wife Garagamma, children Aravind, 3, and Sai, 1, and father-in-law Appanna were in an unconscious condition. Neigh-bours, who found that they were unconscious, admitted them to King George Hospital, where the condition of Sai and Appannais said to be critical while the two others are slowly recovering.
