July 15: Nitin Mongia is in the lead after winning all races in the match inland category of the Monsoon Regatta sailing championship being held in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Aashim Mongia who was also in title contention could not compete due to high fever. R. Mahesh, is a close second having won five out of six races, which are conducted in a round-robin format. Nitin Mongia and R. Mahesh had a close race in the round robin for which Mahesh was penalised for a blatant foul which resulted in a collision. Though Mahesh got ahead by the end of the first leg with some good wind, Nitin overtook while Mahesh completed his penalty.
