The shooting schedule of Shoojit Sircar’s Madras Café, that has John Abraham in the lead, came to an abrupt halt when the director had to undergo an appendix removal surgery. So John was left with no choice but to prepone the promotions of Race 2. “He had all the bulk dates he had given to MC and he didn’t want to waste them.

So he decided to start promoting his next film Race 2,” said his official spokesperson.
After Dhoom, Race 2 will mark John’s return in a negative role. “The film is very close to his heart. John intends to travel and go out of his way to ensure he has done justice to the film’s promotions,” says a source.
