John spots new talent for his film

Filmmakers are known to keep the names of their cast under wraps for as long as they can. That is why, despite having been in the news for a while now, it has been revealed only recently that Nargis Fakhri will play an important role in John Abraham’s next production, Madras Café (earlier titled Jaffna).

But we have learnt that there’s one more lady apart from the lovely Nargis who will play an important role in the film — Rashi Khanna. “Both John as well as director Shoojit Sircar were quite happy with Rashi and decided to rope her in. She is quite important to the film’s narrative”, informs a source.
In fact Rashi’s entry into John’s production house has worked in her favour for reasons more than one. Apparently, she is also a very strong contender to play the lead for Hamaara Bajaj where she would be paired with Ayushmann Khurrana. When contacted, John confirmed Rashi’s debut with Madras Café saying, “Yes, she is doing the film. She has a promising future ahead of her and is a girl to watch out for.” As for her being cast opposite Ayushmann in Hamaara Bajaj, John said, “Well yes, we are looking at that.”
