Come December 21, the Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC), the flagship programme of Federation and Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) to attract business in entertainment sector, is going to do what the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) did in November.
The second edition of MEBC will commemorate the 100 years of Indian Cinema by felicitating the greats of Indian film industry in eastern region.
In the presence of Tollywood actor Prasenjit Chatterjee and veteran film-maker Rituparno Ghosh at the conclave’s curtain raiser event on Thursday, senior director of Ficci Leena Jaisani said: “To reinstate the culture and essence of Bengali films, we need to think about Indo-Bangladesh commercial tie-ups.”
