In a move to further hone their skills, the regional academies of the All India Football Federation will meet in an inter-academy tournament, that kicks-off in Kolkata from Wednesday.
The three AIFF academies have been clubbed in one group and matches will be played in round-robin format. The teams include Mumbai Academy (M1), Bengaluru Academy and Mumbai Academy boys (M2), Kolkata Academy boys (K1) and Kolkata Academy (K2).
AIFF technical director Rob Baan, technical director of regional and elite academies, Scott O’Donnel, Vincent Subramanium, AFC elite coach instructor, former AFC director of youth development Jean Michel, besides national coach Wim Koevermans will be present at the tournament.
