A beefed up Saif is back in the Race

Agent Vinod may not have given him the success that he hoped for, but Saif Ali Khan wanted to give it one more honest try to establish himself as an action star. For Race 2, the actor ensured that he left no stones unturned to perform the heavy-duty stunts.

But for that he needed to get back in shape. A few trainers were stationed on the sets of the film to help Saif beef up. “Since Saif isn’t allowed to do heavy duty workouts as per his doctor’s instructions, he had to undergo major amounts of stretching and yoga which also improved his concentration,” says a unit member. Producer Ramesh Taurani and director duo of Abbas-Mustan offered Saif the option of using a body double for the high-risk stunt scenes, but he was adamant on doing them himself. Word has it that the sequences are the highlight of the film. And the directors cannot stop raving about Saif’s quest for perfection.
