The Indian lads went down fighting to Korea 2-3 in the quarterfinals of the 9th Asian Youth boys' volleyball championship at the Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran on Tuesday.
The defeat ended the Indian boys' chances of making it to the World Youth Volleyball Championship but they gave it their all in the last eight clash.
Losing the first two sets 21-25, 15-25, the Indians bounced back taking the next two 25-18, 25-22.
Having stretched the issue into the decider, the Indian boys narrowly went down 19-21 in the fifth set.
The Indians will now play the loser of the contest between China and Sri Lanka.
