Renowned playback singer and dubbing artist Chinmayee on Thursday lodged a complaint of cheating against a producer and one of online harassment against six persons with the city police commissioner. Chinmayee accused Mr Gajendran, a music concert producer, of failing to pay her dues to the tune of `12 lakh.
In another complaint, the singer sought immediate action against a group of bloggers, including an assistant professor, who had allegedly posted obscene pictures and tweets pertaining to her on social networking sites.
Speaking to reporters after lodging the complaints with the Commissioner of Police S. George, she said, “Not just me, a few other women, especially from the film fraternity and politics have been consistently subjected to vulgar tweets from the group.“
