The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday refused to stay the auction of the IPL team Deccan Chargers by dismissing the civil revision petitions filed by Mr Timothy Wright of England. The petitioner had moved the High Court against the refusal of his plea by the City Civil Court at Secunderabad seeking a stay of the IPL team’s auction on Thursday.
Mr Wright had filed an execution petition against Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd. seeking enforcement of an UK court’s order asking DCHL to pay him around Rs 100 crore for breach of contract. He had urged the civil court to stay the auction of Deccan Chargers team till the disposal of his execution petition.
