Rani takes charge of her next film Aiyya

Rani Mukherjee may have been away from the arc lights for a while now but that hasn’t stopped the actress from having the last word as far as her own projects are concerned.

The buzz is that her upcoming film Aiyya has shaped up well and Rani wants to make the most of it. Sources say that she has taken on the reigns of the creative and marketing aspects of the film. “Her excitement and enthusiasm about the film is so evident. She is so involved in the film that she insists on being kept in the loop for all the marketing meetings,” says a unit member.
While her archrival Kareena Kapoor is riding high on the hype surrounding Heroine, Rani wants to match the buzz in the coming months with Aiyya. Whisper campaign in the industry claim that she has always been actively involved in the decision making of many Yash Chopra projects. That’s the reason why insiders feel her business acumen is sharp enough to handle the technical aspects of a film.
