Saif Ali Khan is known for his wicked sense of humour but this one time he may not have guessed that the joke would backfire on him. Forty-eight hours after claiming to be doing a film with Natalie Portman, the actor clarified that it was nothing more than a joke.
But a baffled Saif realised his joke had gone too far when he heard reports alleging that he had been served a legal notice from Natalie’s office asking him to clarify the truth.
“It was reported in some sections of the media that Saif had received a legal notice from Natalie Portman’s office challenging his claim about doing a film with her. That’s untrue. None of this has happened and there has been no communication whatsoever from Natalie or anyone else in her team,” informs our source.
In his clarification Saif said that he was only joking and that since there’s always speculation about his personal life, he felt like entertaining himself for a change. And the media is Saif’s playground?
The source adds, “In the clarification, when he said ‘sorry’, it was to all his fans and followers who had actually believed what was being written. However, some people misconstrued it as a reaction to the (non-existent) notice from Natalie. Again, this is wrong information. A lot is being made out of nothing.” Well, better play safe next time, Saif!
