Ever since Ajay Devgn has taken an early lead and unveiled the promo of Son of Sardaar, there has been speculation about the cold war between him and Shah Rukh Khan.
With Yash Chopra’s untitled film also slated for a Diwali release, the industry is tensed about the impact this clash may create. But one man who is maintaining a stoic silence about it all is none other than SRK himself.
“If someone like Shah Rukh doesn’t utter a word, definitely something big is brewing,” says an insider, adding, “He knows that his film would enjoy the best outing. Forget that Yash Raj has possibly booked all theatres in advance and have also made an arrangement with the exhibitors. But there is a definite standing that SRK and Yash Chopra enjoy which goes beyond these logistics. They won’t even be touched.”
Another veteran filmmaker also feels Diwali is the best time for Yash Chopra to release his film. “A senior director like him deserves the best timing, more so since he is arriving after so many years,” he says.
So SRK has enough reason to sit back and relax. Will it be Ajay who blinks first? Watch this space.
