Look who’s got the Midas touch

There’s one director whose services all B’town is vying for, and it’s none other than Prabhu Deva. After both Wanted and Rowdy Rathore made it into the 100-crore club, Prabhu is being hailed as the man with the golden touch.

And there’s a queue of projects awaiting his attention. “Prabhu has been signed on by Kumar Taurani for a two-film deal,” an industry source revealed. “Taurani is launching his son in the film industry and Prabhu has been roped in to helm the affair. The second film is still being worked on.”
Apart from these films, Prabhu also has plans to start a project each with Ajay Devgn and Shahid Kapoor, taking his total count of films in the pipeline to four. And for each of these, Prabhu is said to be charging a whopping Rs 3 crore, along with a share of the profits.
But the biggest news of all is that the director is already planning the sequel to Rowdy Rathore. “We will make an announcement soon,” Prabhu confirmed. “I am happy with the success of Rowdy Rathore. I don’t understand figures, 100-crore or otherwise. For me, a film is either a hit or a flop.”
