Bodies of two newly born babies were on Tuesday found in a dry ditch while their mother, a mentally challenged beggar, was spotted unconscious near the Nehru Stadium service lane, police said.
The woman was sent to the MY hospital for treatment, and the bodies were sent for postmortem, they said.
MY hospital sources said the dead infants belonged to the woman who fell unconscious after possibly delivering the stillborn babies, a boy and a girl.
