Round and round: Russia's anthem plays on a ferris wheel

The national anthem of Russia was today performed on a ferris wheel - while in motion.

RT reports up to 40 musicians squeezed themselves into open gondolas to perform the anthem and the attempt is now being pushed for an entry into the Guinness Book of Records.

The attempt is part of celebrations ahead of the forthcoming Day of Russia on June 12.
