China’s heaviest man, weighing 225-kg, can die any moment of multiple organ failure, doctors have said after they failed to conduct medical tests on him as he was too big for CT and MRI scanning machines.
Liang Yong, 30, who holds Guinness book record as the heaviest Chinese, was brought to Xinqiao hospital in Chongqing Municipality in a trolley for medical checkup after one year of confinement as he lost his ability to walk. Suffering from liver, kidney and heart ailments with a swollen face, Yong can die any moment of multiple organ failure, so his doctor Wang Lei recommended him for treatment but his body size stood in the way for every checkup, a business daily reported.

Sharjah will have recycled rubber road
Dubai : Sharjah is all set to have the Gulf’s first recycled rubber surfaced road, which will cost 30 per cent lesser than the conventional ones, a media report has said. Recycled rubber would form the top 20 per cent of the road, which will help traction between the car and road to increase, hence providing better road safety.
“We are going to be pouring the first road in a month and are hoping it will become standard in Sharjah and across the UAE,” Samer Kamal, managing director of Bee’ah, the Sharjah Environment Company was quoted by Arabian Business. —PTI
