BJD backs Sangma for President

Odisha's ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday said it will support former Lok Sabha speaker P.A.Sangma for the President's post.

Chief Minister and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik said he has also discussed the matter with AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa.

"We will support Shri Sangma. He is the most appropriate candidate for the post," Patnaik told reporters here.
